Studio XAG x Penhaligon’s

The work of Studio XAG has always been a source of inspiration and wonderment for me, creating breathtaking and sometimes gravity defying retail displays which are always playful and magical. So when they got in touch with me to help supply some illustrations for their latest project with Penhaligon’s perfumers I couldn’t believe my luck.

The brief they were working to was one that really celebrated Penhaligon’s London heritage, but with a playful twist. The theme was ‘Festival of Flight’ - think Victorian flying machines and contraptions - set amongst the London skies. I was tasked with creating some detailed illustrations to be used on the walls, as well as a large scale floor map of London featuring iconic landmarks.

The results were incredible; Seeing the mix of my illustrations with collaged photographs and the handmade displays was wonderful, and created such an immersive and enjoyable experience.
